Chemotherapy: Drugs kill the cancer cells or stop them from growing. It can be taken as pills or through an IV at a clinic. Chemo sessions take several weeks. The drugs can cause side effects.
Radiation: High-energy waves or particles can kill cancer cells and shrink the tumor. The doctor may use an X-ray or other machines to beam radiations at the exact spot where the tumor is.
