Inflammatory bowel disease also known as IBD is prolonged inflammation of the digestive tract due to a group of intestinal disorders. The two major types of Inflammatory bowel disease are Ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohn’s disease (CD).
Ulcerative Colitis is a condition which causes chronic inflammation in the lining of the large intestine (Colon). It usually affects the sigmoid colon (lower section) and the rectum. It may sometimes affect the whole colon.
